Hi Doc. I am now just more than three months post cataract op with MF IOLs(Lentis Mplus) and am still encountering these beams of light at night. When you say it should improve with time what sort of average length of time is it- 6 months? 1 year?

Yes, it should get better.  This is not an unusual complaint and should improve with time most of the time. Sometimes it can be a sign of astigmatism or stria in the posterior capsule and if necessary glasses may help and in some rare cases laser capsulotomy a few months down the road can also help.  Again usually goes away on its own.
