It sounds as though you have some pretty serious eye problems, and of course you are worried.

There are are a number of things that can make cataract surgery difficlt or  impossible, but they depend on the patient's history, the actual structure of her eye, the type of cataract, plus other factors.

Unfortunately, we on this forum do not have any of that information, and most of us are not doctors, either.

I'm afraid you are going to have to ask your doctors specifically for their reasons for denying surgery.  Bring a notepad with you.

As the other poster noted, you need to get more information from the doctors as to why they are refusing to operate. People reading here don't have enough information to comment on your situation. If you only have one good eye, it makes sense that they will be cautious about risking damage to it. I'm wondering  they merely don't want to operate yet, but would in the future. They might  prefer to wait until the cataract is causing you more problems with your vision before they take the risk.

You should try to get a doctor you have seen to answer any questions you have so you understand their reasons, perhaps try asking them to email you   an explanation if you can't get  in for another appointment.  If they don't give you a good answer, you could try posting here with more information about what they did say. There may be someone here who has dealt with the same issue, or there is at least one doctor who sometimes posts here.

It seems you are worried about your eyesight.  In order to treat cataracts permanently, you should remove the clouded lenses. It can be done only by surgery. But in your case cataract surgery is impossible, You didn’t mention the expert’s explanation or test results here.  For adults  who have cataracts in both eyes, surgery is not normally done on both eyes at the same time. My father had cataract in both his eye. He had his second eye surgery,  a  blade free cataract laser surgery in Oakville only after healing the first eye . It's better to consult an expert and ask the reasons for the deny.
