contact question

My daughter  will be nine next week.  She has an occasional exotropia (eye turns out).  She has worn glasses since three (hyperopia +3.00)  I usually see it in her school pictures (last two years).  Will contacts help with this?  The opthamologist doesn't want to see her because she can see.  Also how will this affect her depth perception?

In response to my other post,  is there more that I need to do?  The opthamologist in town wont see her.  Could there be something serious going on?

The opthamologist here in town doesn't want to see her.  He asked me if she could see out of her eye and said if she could there was nothing he could do for her.

Glasses or contact lenses would have the same effect on the exotropia.  She is a little young for contact lenses.  Is she being followed by a pediatric ophthalmologist?
