doc said my eyes are fused with tissue from side of lid-likely from birth?

He didn’t seem concerned but what exactly is this?

Can't tell from photo but if eye moves normally, not to worry.

The eye does move normally, doc said it was a symblepharon? In both eyes since birth assumedly, I also have congenital cataracts so now I’m just worried about some terrible genetic issue causing both but at the same time I’m 25 and healthy, does this finding warrant a genetics workup?
No, if you had some bad genetic disease it should be apparent by now. A symblepharon is just s scar on the conjunctiva, could be from your previous surgeries
Okay, the right eye actually was never operated on but I just seen a couple friends have the same thing in the same places! Maybe it’s not a symblepharon? Or maybe they just aren’t uncommon in very tiny capacities? I don’t know.
It isn't worth getting agitated about it if nothing changes.
