excessive dilation of blood vesels around eyes

I went to see a eye specialist recently because my eyelids and eyes inflame after exercise. I showed him pictures of my condition and he explained that I had excessive dilation of the blood vessels around my eyes. My inner section of my eyes becomes dark red and very sore if I become anxious or when I drink alcohol. This condition prevents me from participating in any physical activity. I’m just wondering what would you recommend to help my blood vessels from dilating excessively.

I've been in practice and I've never seen, heard or read about anyone that can't exercise because their eyes get red, it people exercise with exercise induced asthma you should be able to exercise.

You've said second opinon and eye specialist. You haven't said "an ophthalmologist that expecializes in external disease/ cornea" if you haven't seen one see one. Also get your thyroid checked out.

Thank you for your advice. I have been back for second opinion and he also believes that I have excessive dilation of the blood vessels around my eyes. Is there any treatment for this? I can't do any exercise as my eyelids become inflamed all the time.

Get a second opinion from a Eye MD ophthalmologist that specilizes in external disease/cornea. Find one at www.aao.org

You are better off have red eyes after exercise for a while than going through life not exercising.
