I just had my right eye done with Restor. I am 39 years old and have never had any eye problems before cataracts. With looking out of my right eye only (Restor eye) I am ok with the near vision, but not very thrilled with my distance vision from about 15 yards out and further. And I am very unhappy with the sight under warehouse and gym type settings. It seems if the lighting isn't perfect than my distance vision is not good. I play a lot of softball and volleyball and also do a lot of coahing and I now regret putting the Restor lens in.
What is your opinion of what my best options are, I am scheduled to do my Left eye in the next few weeks?
Should I explant the Restor and go to a monofocus lens and have one for intermediate and one for distance?
Should I wait to see if my vision gets better?
If I except to wear glasses or contacts the rest of my life, what would be the best lens to use for athletics, coaching, dim lighting, gym style lights, golf, ect???
Thanks, Bobby
Yes, small risk of capsular rupture. The ReStor is relatively easy to remove compared to some other IOLs like the ReZoom. Find and experience surgeon.
