Contact lens discomfort w/ herpes?

Hi I have genital herpes for over 4+ years now. I'm very cautious on washing my hands prior to takin in and out my contacts. The other night I did not wash my hands after using the restroom and took my contacts out. I did have a small scabbing over outbreak. My eyes seem to be in discomfort every time I put in my contacts and last all day. Could I have spread the herpes virus from my shaft to my hand to my eye? I've been wearing contacts for 15 years and this seems like a new problem. Thanks for the guidance

If its one of these do they heal on their own? Do you suspect ocular herpes? Nothing is oozing and it just feels like something is constantly in my eye.

You need to see an ophthalmologist.  While this may not be ocular herpes, you could have a corneal abrasion or corneal ulcer which needs treatment.  Do not wear the contact lens until you see the ophthalmologist.
