eye difficulties

After severe consecutive falls(the first 13 1/2 ft, landing on my head) and going blind for a while I am suffering from double vision. Sometimes it is over-lapped and I feel the eye pulling.  It also seems like things are shaking when they are not. If I try to focus the vision becomes worse. After the total blindness it came back gradually as two pin holes that enlarged. My optometrist saw nothing physically wrong with the eyes. General MRI and CT scan of the head showed nothing that was apparent. What could it be and what direction should I take? I'm scheduled in 3 months to see a neuro opthamologist, neurologist otoloryngology, and audiologist. Is there something I can do in the meantime for relief?

I'm sorry it is taking so long to see the proper specialists. Perhaps you live in Canada or UK??  You really need a very thorough workup.  I suspect something like a 4th nerve palsy or some type of other gaze palsy or disorder due to a neurologic injury from the fall. It is impossible to give you any advice on what to do since I don't know what you have.  You may find that you are more comfortable at time covering one eye to reduce double vision.  Just a thought.  You should be seen sooner than 3 months - that's my other thought.  Good Luck.

My location in Northern Ontario is causing the delay. If I close one eye my vision is still over lapped and it doesn't matter which eye I close. I was told it might be the second, fifth, or sixth nerve, thanks for answering what are your thoughts adding this?
