grave's eye disease

Is there any treatment for grave's eye disease to prevent the disfiguring look?  Can you recommend a specialist in Michigan who is will knowledgable about the disease and willing to treat aggressively?   Please help.

1. Agressively treat the underlying Grave's disease with an endocrinologist.
2. Don't smoke
3. See an oculoplastic surgeon to discuss lid surgery. The U of Michigan medical school department of ophthalmology is excellent. See if Bartley Frueh (spelling?) is still on the faculty there.
