Hi Doctor,

My left eye is a lazy eye. I face a lot of difficulty as well as I was born with Catract in both the eyes for which I had the Catract surgery when I was just 8 months old.

I was just going through this article & your reply wherein you had mentioned 'Also, with your weakened vision , you need all the vision, you need all the vison you can get and need to carefully protect your eyes from any other possible problems.'. But unfortunately, you have not mentioned what are the other possible problems that can occur.

Please if you don't mind, please mention what are the possible problems.

Have a nice weekend.

Thank you..

True amblyopia, in someone your age, is unfortunately permanant.  I would have a complete eye exam with an ophthalmologist to have an exact basis for your current vision.  Perhaps there are some other problems that can be helped that could move your vision in a positive direction.  Also, with your weakened vision, you need all the vision you can get and need to carefully protect your eyes from any other possible problems.
