lens implant after lens removal

Hello. I recently had my cataract removed from my left eye. I was told that my eye was not a good candidate for an IOL because of areas of thining and lack of fibers to hold the lens in place. So my left eye is aphakic. This was two years ago and I am currently wearing contact lenses to correct my vision. Is it possible to still get a lens implant in the future?

Yes. You would need to see  cornea/cataract/IOL/refractive surgeon that specializes in  post cataract surgery problems.   A posterior chamber IOL would need to be put in and sutured or you would need an anterior chamber IOL.  This is a skill most cataract surgeons DON"T have so find one with experience.
