partially sighted, new visual changes

im partially sighted with nystagmus, photophobia, long sighteness and astigmatism. im blind in my right eye and have the above issues in left.

over the past 3 months ive noticed my visin in my good eye getting worse. it got harder to read more than a few lines of normal print where before i could read a page. i need to use large print with everything now. also my vision is less clear and seems worst at centre of vision.
im bumping into things on my right side more so not sure if peripheral vision is worsening.
also my eyes relax alot more. in that they look down and everything goes blurry as if they are resting not looking at anything. its a real concious effort to move them out of this locked gaze.

i also have big black rain falling on my left periperal now and then.
iv tried the amselr (?) grid. i can see the left hand side of the grid but the right is blotchy, the lines dance and i cant see any of the corners.

is it possible for nystagmus to get worse? or for long sightedness to get worse quickly (i had last eye test in september and got stronger perscription specs).

i have appointment with optician for an eye test tomoro for this but was wondering if anyone had any opinions.

i take trazadone and venlafaxin for another condition, i dont know if they can affect vision

You will need to ask that of the Eye MD that is seeing you. Try very hard to get in as soon as possible.

I'm not country you're from (in the USA opticians don't examine patients'). I suspect you are going to see a non-MD non-Physician optometrist (called opticians in the UK I believe). I think it's an emergency for you to see an Eye MD ophthamologist immediately and I would demand that the optician-optometrist make arrangesments for you to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist an an emergency. You mediciations should not affect your vision. You need an ophthalmologist to check your eyes each 6-12 months the rest of your life.

the optician is refering me to eye doctor as she said my vision has changed drastically in a short time.
she said there is nothing she can do in terms of glasses to help my vision now.

also she said my pupils dont react to light. noones ever mentioned this before so i dont know if i was born with it or if its new. what could it mean?
