pink eye

I am a 28 year old female with no health insurance since I just started my new job.  Its been very very hard this past month.. I had acute bronchidis, for the next two weeks I had walking pnemonia, then I had strep throat.  Now Im much better, but I woke up this morning and my eye is pink, and kind of sore.  Can it be Pink Eye? And if so.. what are some home remedies I can take since I really have no more money for another Doctors visit because of this past month?

I am a registered nurse and know a few things that aren't common knowledge.  If you put triple antibiotic ointment (neosporin) on the outside of your eye (the lid where eye shadow goes) before you go to bed at night it will be much better in the morning and sometimes healed.  Do this for 1-3 nights depending on how bad your eye looks and if it is matting (sticking together after sleeping).

I am not a doctor. I am a community leader here. I have a lot of experience helping eye patients, especially me.

Welcome to our community. The doctor will respond to your questions soon.

I am so sorry you must wait for insurance, and that you have been sick.

Write when you need to.
