Thank you for your time !! :-)
I have no idea how long it would take to get authorization to do an experimental stem cell procedure. You would need to ask the eye physicians at Bascom Palmer.
The point I'm making is that there is not likely any physician at any institution any place in the world that could provide better care.
Remember at every world famous hospital all over the world people still get sick and die; at every world famous eye center people still lose their sight. There will always be things in medicine and ophthalmology that medicine don't cure. Such is the nature of life on earth.
Also if there was some other eye center that could help your son and Bascom Palmer couldn't I'm sure they would send him there if that were feasible.
I am very sorry for your son's problem and if there were somewhere "better" to take him I would tell you.

They really don't know how to help him, they put him on the list for possible stem cell research. How long of a process can this be for the stem cell? Thank you for your quick response, I'm concerned as this morning my son woke up and had a really hard time seeing......Very concerned as to him going completely blind before we can get any help!!!
You are at one of the finest eye research centers in the world, some would say the best. Stick with them as they work through this.

Forgot to mention that my son is losing his eye sight as well. Also, could there be a possible connection between this and myocarditis??
