vivity one eye monofocal the other

l am having cataract surgery in a few months . My Ophthalmologists says the vivity IOL is the best one for me but l have some concerns about the lower contrast compared to monofocal. What do you think of the idea if l go ahead and have vivity in the non dominant eye and if l dont like the vivity it or find the contrast low l then get a monofocal set for distance in the dominant eye that would give me overall higher contrast and the vivty in the other eye would give me some near vision. ?

I have PanOptix multifocal in dominant eye and Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) in non-dominant and am very happy with the results. The PanOptix gives me distance and near and the LAL tuned for mid-range fills in the gaps and gives me back the near contrast sensitivity lost with the multifocal, plus in bright light distance and near are pretty good in the LAL, too. But I did the multifocal almost a year before the LAL so I had plenty of time to adapt, plus I did not have any presbyopia prior to surgery. My situation is a little unique I gather, but in any case I encourage seeking multiple opinions. My outcome is after four. Ask questions. How will this impact my job? My hobbies? Tasks I do the most?

I don't have any experience with this IOL so I cannot offer an opinion.  As we have said many times, more complaints here about "premium"  (multifocal type) than monofocal or toric.

Yes monofocal seems less risky. He said lf l go with monofocal he would set one eye for distance and the other for intermediate , If he does that would the eye set for intermediate be blurry for distance vision. l think l would rather have both eyes set for distance. If l have both eyes set for distance would l still get some intermediate without glasses  for example arms lenght or car dashboard distance
