Red Spot under the eye, what could cause this?
My mother woke up with a red spot under her eye. She said it was bothering her and she rubbed it. She is 86 years old, her vision is a little blurred now and her eye feels like it it watering. What would cause this?
No way to tell for sure but if its on the white of the eye and looks bright red its often a harmless "subconjunctival hemorrhage". If there is pain, discharge or blurry vision it calls for a doctors exam.
