HPT after 5dt?

How accurate is to do a HPT and when is the best time after a 5dt, or should I wait for my Beta? I heard that "First Response Early result" has good reviews...

I was told not to take the HPT b/c they can give you a false negative and mine did!!  You should only have a few more days until your bloodwork!  I know it is hard to wait!!  Good Luck!!

The problem is not the accuracy of the home pregnancy test. The problem is that the HCG you injected will also turn a home pregnancy test positive, since the pregnancy test is measuring HCG. This is why we have to wait after the embryo transfer to do the beta-HCG. In our program, we do the first beta-HCG 15 days after the egg retrieval (or 10 days after a d5 transfer), but some programs will vary +/- a couple of days. I know this is a long couple of weeks! You might get away with cheating by 1-2 days, but my advice is wait for the scheduled pregnancy test.
