I had a still birth then two normal pregnancies then a very prem baby and then I was tested for Protein C defiency which I had, I had to take low dose asprin, special packet from chemist, one a day for pregnancys...it helped hugely! two further healthy babies. Check with your GP that there are no reasons why you personally shouldnt take asprin to dilute you blood. Good luck x
Don't give up...I too had a healthy pregancy back in 05 and have been trying to get pregnant ever since...I've had three miscarriages and the doctor has prescribed Clomid (3rd month of it) and no luck yet. I use the test sticks and see when I ovulate, however, it's not still not happening. I'm getting frustrated and everyone tells me to keep trying that it WILL happen. I'm 37 and getting worried that I'm running out of time :0) My next step is visiting an infertilty specialist. The doctors tell me that it's very common at this age to miscarry. I believe we will get our chance again :0) Good luck!
Hi,
I have had 2 miscarriges (1 blighted ovum, one early miscarriage accompanied with an ectopic. Previous ectopic two years ago) and because of being so persistent that we have to fidna cause for these my fertility doctor finally did some blood tests. You might want to ask these ones:
1. Protein C
2. Prothrombin Gene mutation
3. Beta 2 Glycoprotein 1 antibody
4. Homocysteine
5. Cardiolipin antibody
6. Activated Protein C resistance
7. Factor V Leiden Genotyping
8. Lupus antigoaculant
9. Antithrombin III
10. Protein S
11. MTHFR Polymorphism
Before these ones I was found ANA positive. Now I was found to be MTHFR positive, which basically means that it can cause miscarriages. Good news is that it can be helped with a big dose of folic acid (in my case 5 mg) per day accompanied with a big dose of B12 (1mg in my case). I am now waiting to start my next IVF to see if this will help me (I have now lost both of my tubes because of ectopic pregancies so IVf is the only option).
Hope these tests will help you to find a reason for your miscarriages. I have also read from many case studies that secondary infertility can be caused by woman's body becoming hostile to embryos (immunological response sometimes caised NK cells =natural killer cells. These cells are the ones that try to fight back so we wouldn't get cancers etc and for some reason they can sometimes turn against embryos).
i have had 3 miscarrages my last one was 4 weeks ago, i was offerd to have test but i have chosen not to have them and i am going to try agen. i herd about taking asprin how much do you have to take and what dose it do?
hi i am 23 and have had five miscarrages. i had four miscarrags with my ex partner and one with my current partner. i was refered to the hospital after my third miscarrage to see someone from the gynaecologe department. they have done lots of tests on me plus a hystorostopy. all my tests have come back fine. my last miscarage was one month ago, i was told to take asprine and they gave me progesterone pesarys (cyclogest) my miscarrags have been between 6 and 11 weeks. i have had a d and c for all 5. the docors tell me it is just bad luck but surely this cant be right. have you any surgesstions of what i could do. thank you natalie
Honestly, I would see a fertility doctor. OB's can run certain test, but fertility doctors check for EVERTHING. I had 2 m/c and 1 tubal and my OB told me to see a fertility doctor. I had 3 iui's which were all unsuccessful and then my fertility doctor suggested a laparoscopy. I ended up needing surgery to remove a slight case of endo and some adhesions in both tubes. 5 months after my surgery I found out I was pregnant and I am due in 3 1/2 weeks. Seeing a fertility doctor was the best thing I could have done. If you have any questions..Just ask..GOOD LUCK!!!
