100% abnormal morphology

My husband (35) and I (34) have been TTC for over 1.5 years now. He had his Sperm analysis done in June 2021 and that showed that good or normal morphology as this:
NORMAL SPERM: 15 %
SPERM-MIDPIECE TAIL: 26 %
SPERM HEAD ABNORMALITIES: 57 %
SPERM IMMATURE FORMS: 2 %


Last month, we finally decided to go for a fertility specialist and when they performed the morphology test
his numbers came out to be :
Normal Forms 0 %
Head Defects 100 %
Tail Defects 0 %

This seems to be a different method of testing called the Tygerberg Strict Morphology.

While the doctor has asked us to redo another semen analysis, we are trying to understand how things changed within 6 months, or is it a different test that happened in the previous lab. What should we do ?

Semen situation changes since it is influenced by many factors.  Better to follow your doctor's advice to redo testing and in the meantime continue trying and DTD.

So, when you read about this, it is actually a very low percentage for ALL men of sperm that are normal.  (which then makes it odd they use the word normal). 4 to 10 percent are the norm for 'normal' sperm in all men.
