1500 beta

I had my beta test done yesterday, 14dpt,  and the results showed my beta at 1500!

My re wad very pleased, and I have an us scheduled on Mon.

My last ivf cycle resulted in a chemical pregnancy but my beta test for the same time period was only 157.

My question is, does the higher beta number mean I have a stronger pregnancy?

I'm really excited but there still is some apprehension,

Thanks every one!

My RE gave me a due date of Aug 3rd.

It's funny, I didn't have a whole lot of symptoms before my beta (14dpt), but the week right before I had a MASSIVE headache and I was also hungry all the day.  I was a little worried because my bbs stopped the soreness, but I think they were just REALLY sore from all the injectables and now they are normal sore... if that makes sense!!

As for how I'm feeling now....  completely in the throws of morning sickness.....  I was so happy today because it was the first time this week I didn't throw up my breakfast!!!  Last night I went to the Chiropractor who deals with a lot of pregnant women and was complaining about the m/s and he did some acupressure move on my back... said it was supposed to help!  I think it did :)

Sending everyone lots of baby dust!!!!!!

I had my first ultrasound this morning and the doctor confirmed that both of my embryos took.  I'm so excited!  Looks like (keep the fingers crossed) we'll be having twins!

I am not a fan of drs who do the first u/s before 6 weeks - it really sets couples up to be dissappointed (AND I feel clinics do it for the money)
ALl of my REs waited till after 6 weeks until I went to cooper center and they wanted me to do one as soon as my beta was over 1500 - that is when I told them I was on my own and did not need them to monitor my pregnancy anymore (all that is said as a preface to relax and don't let the initial u/s give you false hopes because the heartbeat is what counts!)

Thanks,  I like that study you mentioned!  I have an u/s tomorrow.  So I guess we'll see about twins then.

Good luck
I have had betas all over the board
I had a great beta and it tripled and I miscaarried
I had a very high beta and it was a singleton (in your range maybe but my doc tested on day 9 and 11)
I had very average beta (99 on day 9 and 205 on day 11)  and it was twins

A high beta is great (I read a study where every woman who had a beta over 600 on 14DPT had a successful pregnancy!
Good luck
