2 gestational sacs at 5 weeks and maybe 5 days
I went in on 2/19 for my first ultrasound and there were 2 gestational sacs. The nurse had originally thought I was 6 weeks, but my dr. went off my IVF transfer of 1/26 and says I am 5 weeks. Should I only have seen a gestational sac? Dr. seems positive and regretted that I came in so early. I am scheduled for another ultrasound on 2/26. Praying for 2 viable babies!
Double Congrats! I freaked a little when they told me I was having twins. It's scary because there is slightly more risks w/twins, but the dr. told me when they can see a beating heart (around 6 weeks) then your risk for m/c goes down to like 5%, then by the time your 8 weeks, the risk goes waaaaaayyy down to like 2%!! You are doing great so far! I bet you see two heartbeats next week! Well on your way to a happy healthy 9!
Dont worry.. 5 weeks you will see gestational sac. By 6 weeks you should be able to see the fetal pole. Good luck!!! and congrats!
