4 days after embryo transfer negative pregnancy test
I am new to this blog. I am so nervous and sad to see a BFN this morning. They transfered one five-day embryo on Monday 4th, 2013. They decided to just transfer one because my embryos were that good. Today is day 4. I actually wanted to make sure the Ovidrel shot was out of my system which it is so anything after this I can consider a true positive. But I can't help but feel devastated. Has somebody have this happened and have a positive after day 4 after the blastocyst transfer. I am immensely greatful to those of you that can give me some hope.

Of course we all understand the hard part of waiting, but it sounds like you may be testing too early! Below is a general idea of what happens when after a 5 day transfer. You're around the implantation stage, so even if everything is going the best it can, I don't think you'd see it on an hpt.
Everyone is different, but after my IVF I didn't do any home testing. My clinic waited until 11 days past transfer to do a beta blood test, and had told me that any home testing I did would not be definitive.

Two The blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus
Three The blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation
Four Implantation continues
Five Implantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop
Six Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream
Seven Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Eight Fetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
Nine Levels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy

Thank you so much for your reply....maybe I am just reading too much into it....this wait is killing me. I am already planning to do the frozen transfer and I don't even know if I am pregnant! I am praying I am .... :-)

Just wanted to let you know that I am pregnant !!!! I am still in shock and so blessed !! My first beta was 115 and I am going back tomorrow for a second one! I will keep you posted! Thanks for giving me that ray of hope :-)

Woo hoo! That is great. Your beta value is close to what mine was 11dp5dt. I'm currently 10w4d pregnant, just got out of a good checkup with my OB.

eggs retrieved, 14 fertilized, 10 blastocyst. 1st attempt....I was a little ohhs so it failed. Going on 2nd attempt. Cycle 2 of period...estrogen at 76. Dr sd a little high..will like to see 50 or less. Anyway, waiting on negative pregnancy test to start protocol. What this estrogen level means at this stage?

Sorr, I am not sure what the estrogen levels should be or what causes themto be low. Hopefully someone else will chime in. It sounds Ike with your embies, you have a great chance of this working ;)!

I did my first IVF Nov 3/2013 i had OHSS transferred 2 embryos got a neg, so now doing a frozen transfer next cycle , in Dec, I only have 3 embryos left but there all 4AAs , and the ones they transferred were only 2BBs i guess the day after transfer my embies got much better, so i really think this FET will work, WHY are these Res doing transfers on us, if they know the OHSS will prevent us from getting preg, My Estrogen at transfer was 17.710 , Crazy high and he still did the transfer so now im paying for a FET next cycle i really hope this works, they made me wait a cycle between fresh cycle and FET to get my Estrogen down ,
just wanted to keep you posted I've had my ultrasound yesterday and the heartbeat was 133 and it measured exactly 6 weeks and 5 days it was precious
I'm an oldie her but new since 2011 when I had my son. Did my 5day transfer 3 hrs ago so now I'm waiting and wondering about every twitch again :}

Congrats on your pregnancy! Hope everything is going well for u. Im 26yrs old and I just had 2 embryos transfered in me 1/20/14. I go for the pregnancy test on 1/31/2014. I didn't have any of my extra embroys frozen because me and my husband didn't have the money. As you know this process is very expensive. Now im really nervous that I don't have a plan b. Did we make the right decision? Omg...I'm freaking out any advice?
