4 days post IUI pain

Hello,
This is my 5th try getting pregnant via IUI. Every time I have had terrible pain on the day of insemination. Sometimes, the pain continues on until For almost two weeks. My periods are Hell!! I have been told its because of all of the hormones I am injecting into my body. I am currently 4 DPIUI and am having pain in (what feels like) my lower left ovary and my back. It's extremely uncomfortable and feels a tad like gas pains.  Has anyone else experienced an uncomfortableness after their IUI? For how long? And have you gotten pregnant? I can't help but hope all of this pain is the egg implanting, but if the last is any indication, it's not :(

I am now 11dpiui. During the insemination I only had slight discomfort and very mild cramping, especially after the 2nd insemination.  I have some mild lower abdominal pain as well since then.  I am feel the very same way as you are. I am hoping that it worked!!  I test on sunday. Wish you plenty of baby dust!!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
A severe kind of pain is not a normal feature of IUI and it does not indicate implantation. You should check out with your Doctor to find out the cause of pain. This can be pelvic infection or endometriosis or ovarian cysts etc. Also after so many attempts of IUI a review is necessary regarding the treatment protocols. Consult an infertility expert for an evaluation. Hope this helps.
Take care & good luck.
