Hi-I just recently started acunpunture.  I was VERY reluctant to go-as GiGiGiGi says, I am not really the "alternative" treatment type of person.  But I have had 3 failed IUI's-unexplained fertility, except I also have very very thin lining.  I go for my 4th IUI tomorrow and this cycle I decided to change everything-diet, attitude, yoga, acupunture.  I am praying it will pay off.  My acupunturist said he can help with the thin lining-it is all about energy and good blood flow to the uterus, which is what we are currently working on.  I love it!  It has made me better emotionally as well.

I also very highly recommend it.  I also recommend yoga-I got a fertility for yoga DVD and I have been doing it every other day.  Again, emotionally, it makes you stronger.

good luck to you!

I have  been seeing an acupuncturist for the past 1.5 months.

Before seeing him I hardly had any AF - the bleeding was very light.  My first period after starting treatments, the difference was amazing.  I had gone from a scant flow to heavy, healthy bleeding - much like what i had when i was younger.  I'm 36.  By the way - my RE FINALLY diagnosed me with thin uterine lining at my last appointment.  The lining was at 7mm which according to some doctors is on the thin side but could sustain a pregnancy.  My RE was just totally negative and left me feeling horrible.  I KNOW that my acupuncturist is responsible for helping me to grow that 7mm lining, and KNOW that judging by my previous flow there is no way that I had 7mm before seeing the acu.

I can honestly say that I believe my acupuncturist has been way more helpful than my RE.  He wants to try to help me before I proceed with meds, IUI, etc. I'm totally going to try this natural therapy first.  He is so optimistic, and his optimism is contagious.

On top of having a better cycle (28 days), normal bleeding and lighter cramps, I can also say that I feel much stronger emotionally, and believe that the acupuncture is helping to balance me in lots of different ways.

For the record - I'm not really the type of person to go for "alternative" treatments, but I am so thankful that I decided to give acupuncture a try.

I would highly, highly recommend it!

Gigi

Hi

I have been doing accu for the last 2.5 months.  I have done IUI once before and it did not work but I can certainly feel a difference.  Right now I am doing IVF.  I have 4 mature follies .  I think all this is because of accu.
