I'm sorry your having to go through this right now. Can you see if you could get in to your dr.s to get a beta done to see if your levels are rising? Hopefully it's early and things will work out. I had 2 m/c's in a row this past year and am currently trying again. My dr. wasn't going to test anything unless I had 3 but when I went in during my 2nd m/c I mentioned testing and he said he would run bloodwork to see if anything came up. It didn't which made me feel a bit better. I know it doesn't guarantee anything but at least it ruled out some things. I hope all works out for you and you know more soon! :)
I'm suppose to go back to my MW tomorrow to check my betas again, but I'm not sure if I see much point to it. I guess if I don't start bleeding today then I'll go in. I just don't feel like there is much hope. They did do a progesterone test on Friday which I'll have the results of on Monday and maybe that could be the problem??? We'll have to see!
Hi,
I'm really sorry..I definitely know what you're going through. I had a m/c in March of 06 then ANOTHER m/c Feb of 0/7....yep, two in a row...devastating. Crazy because we already have a 3 year old and hand no problems with her.
Well I'm know currently 14 weeks pregnant..i thought I was for sure doomed for a 3rd. These are some things that my doc did to prevent another one...maybe this will help you.
Started me on 1 low dose baby aspirin a day. Immediately 2 days after IUI I was put on progesterone in oil shots (yuck-just finished those 3 weeks ago)..and I was also put on an estrogen patch.
They say that 3 in a row is unlucky, even more unlucky that its a chromosome problem because that's all by chance...it could be that you have low progesterone...
Maybe some of these methods will help you. I hope that things work out for you.
That's so great that you are having a successful pregnancy this time. I really hope that will be the case for us too. It took us five years to conceive our two year old son and then another year for the second pregnancy that resulted in a mc. So for us to get pregnant so quickly again was a relief and at least we know we have that part down now. :) I'm hoping the MW will tell me that my progesterone is low and that will be the fix that we need. I have been reading a lot about people who are taking the baby aspirin and I think I might try that too. I just kind of figured since I didn't have any problems with my first pregnancy that I wouldn't for any others...boy was I wrong! It's so weird that your body can change like that. Thanks for your story!!!
I hope it is just a test with a higher sensitivity. I had that happen after 5 days of darker lines and then a bfn. I was horrified and hoped it was the test. Went to store at 3:30am to get another and the same thing. Af showed up and that was that. I hope it was the test and the news is still good for you.
Did you get af the same day as bfn? I feel like I'm just waiting for it to come. I'm sure it's not good news for us this time...I used the same test that I had gotten faint positives on. So for the line to be even lighter than the first two can't be good. I would love to find out that I'm wrong though!
Oh how I hope your lighter line was just a fluke! Please know you are in all of our thoughts and prayers! Best wishes for a happy day!
so sorry you are going throught this again..hoping for the best for you
Wow!! I thought I was the only unlucky one. I can definitely relate to you- Shayla1. I have a 12 years old son and have been trying for 2 years to get pregnant. In 2005, I had an empty sac which resulted in a D&C. Then conceived in April, 2007, no heartbeat was heard on 6/6/07, my HCG levels were declining, and had another D&C the next day. I am so discouraged and I feel your pain. Part of me look forward to visiting the fertility doctor this week, but on the other hand I'm not ready for another disappointment. I hope this IVF process works for me this time. So, I wish you well. Relax and pray!!
-Shayla1- I'll have to share this information with the nurses on Thursday. Thanks for the input!! May God bless you with your pregnancy.
Af waited another day, but showed just as expected. I hope it's not the same for you.
Girls I'm really sorry for all of you who had to go through a miscarriage. I can't even imagine how hard it was for you. I'm infertile because I was born without a uterus. But my friend had a miscarriage a couple of weeks ago. It was her first pregnancy and she lost her baby on 7th month. My heart is tearing apart when I look at her. I want to help so much but only time can cure such pain. She was so happy when she got to know about her pregnancy... I try my best to find the right words. But in this situation they're probably no words exist which can help. I wish all of us to become mothers of healthy babies as soon as possible. No one in this world should lose their children.
