Anyone pregnant at 39?

I'm getting a bit worried that I may have waited too long to try again.  There were unforeseen circumstances that kept me from doing this a few years ago, and now I'm feeling like I've lost my chance!!!  Anyone out there preggers at 39 yoa???  I am so sad, that we have to try so very very hard just to have a child that I desperately want!  Sorry for the rant.

I too am pregnant at 39 (we did IVF/ICSI). But, we only had to do this because my husband had a congenital defect that made it impossible to conceive any other way--internally I was just fine. I definitely know what it's like to feel as if you've lost your chance because it just wasn't in the cards to try and be a mom when you were younger (at least that was my situation--I didn't meet my husband until I was in my 30s). I highly recommend seeing your Gyno ASAP to get some bloodwork done first to help see what your odds are to conceive with or without IVF or IUI if those are options for you. Good luck!

Well as you know my last test is tomorrow and i am 39.but my sister was 42 she got a lovely little boy and my other sister was 37 and got girl,and they didn't need any meds ! or any help ...thats the way it goes ive been trying for 6/7 yrs i've had clomid.iui.now ivf.So its not your age its just luck    i guess. so don't beat your self up and worry.just get positive again you can do this and who know.....what will happen. GOOD LUCK !!!!

Hi- I'm 39 and pregnant for the fist time! I'm currently 11 weeks and the baby is doing great! It's moving all around and the heartbeat is super strong. We did IVF/ICSI and tried for over 2 years to get our miracle. I wish you the best, you're not too old! Take good care of yourself, eat well and exercise and it can happen.

I'm 38 and trying IVF now..I'm waiting for my BETA and hoping for the BEST! I do have a friend who is 40 and just had a Beautiful little boy! So Good Luck and you are still Young!
