Body cleanse to get pregnant
Okay ladies, my af is due today and since I am still ttc naturally: today I have been googling body cleanses and I came across this old post. I am considering starting this cycle off with a gentle body cleanse of some type. Anybody got any suggestions? Here's the post taken from the pregnancy forum:
"I have not tried alternative medicine, but had I not gotten pregnant in June, I was going to turn to it. There is a wonderful book that you will find to be an interesting read called "The Tao of Fertility" by Daoshing Ni. I read this book after my 2nd miscarriage and it really relays the message of trying alternative medicine before succoming to conventional medicine. After all, many "fertility problems" can be fixed by simply cleansing the body and starting fresh. I did the one month detox and got pregnant and so far so good! There is another woman who used to be on this forum who did the same thing I did and had a successful pregnancy. (She doesn't come on here anymore... but helpful she was!) It does hurt, fairly bad, but only for a couple of seconds a min at the most, only when they are pumping in the dye. It's a very fast prosses and I didn't have any pain afterwards. I don't think the Dr. would give you anything for it. They usally say to take some motrin, maybe 600-800mg about and hour before. Good Luck!
OH that is greeat, Congratulations!! I go to the RE on Thursday. I should be cd5 then, so thats the first thing i am going to beg for (HSG)!!!!! But, I hear it hurts quite a bit. Do drs give you any pain med? Did it hurt for you? Also, were you on any fertility meds the cycle you conceived?
I know it's different from what this said but DH and I had been trying to conceive for a little over a year, I had an HSG which kinda clensed things out and we got pregnant that month with our daugher, the same thing happened to my sister.
A similar theory is that with a clean shoot your body absorbs meds, (and vitamins) better.
I just don't know a whole lot about cleansers though. There's lots of stuff out there to flush your colon but I wander if there's anything that (gently and safely) flushes out other organs, like kidneys, liver, etc...
