I'm on the other end of the spectrum - I actually gave two kids up for adoption. Thankfully they are in the same family so there are being raised as brother and sister. When I placed my children I opted for open adoption because I really wanted to make sure they were well taken care of. Now that they are teenagers, I get to talk them alot and they are at a lot of my family functions - now I have an adopted family =)
The parents who adopted my children went thru the same frustration, the first birth mom decided she wanted to keep her baby. Nothing wrong with that but it did devastate them. In the end they ended up with two beautiful children (of coarse I'm going to say that =)
So keep your hopes up, there is a baby out there for you!!
Hi Beth- There is an adoption forum on medhelp where you may be able to find more information or people who can relate.
I am certain some folks on here have adopted, but I think the primary goal is finding others who are dealing with infertility treatment and how to improve fertility.
PS- I have had 2 miscarriages (at least) and no children of my own and would definitely consider adoption. My husband already has 2 kids from a previous marriage and he really only wants kids of his own, so I don't think it will happen for us.
