I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years. my hubby is fine and I do not ovulate regular. I had an abnormal pap that was negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy, but it suggested I might have a bening endocervical polyp or a mullerian type polyp? not sure what mullerian polyp is but. I have irregular bleeding and nothing showed on ultrasound. I have to have a D & C and I am praying that maybe this might help in some way increase my chances of getting pregnant. And suggestiong or comments or help please
Beta's tomorrow but I'm really not considering it a beta... as far as I'm concerned it's simply a type of self-flagellation prior to allowing myself to move on!!
My Beta is Wed., my RE is an evil man and does them 14DP3DT.
And no, my last D&C was before my 1st IVF in June. And something "tried" to stick, but it was probably a bad bean, not my uterus.
When is your beta?
Hi Sal... yes, that's what I thought... that they must be one and the same.
Thanks fo rletting me know that it's not too rough. I actually completely forgot that you'd done this. no... didn't forget, actually... thought you had something different. So was your last one just before this last IVF?
And would you PLEASE tell me when your beta is???
(love the "Dusting & Cleaning"!!)
Magda.. Hiya, GF!
Ok, D&C stands for "Dilation and Cutterage", so I'm going to assume it is the same thing. He will look for polyps, scar tissue, etc.. and it's more of a scraping (sorry so graphic) unless you have a polyp, then that's an actual "cut". I have had 2 and they are super easy recovery. You'll be put under then wake up with a little cramping and spotting for a few days. We have so much blood flow to the uterus, it heals itself very fast.
Now emember that if he does find a polyp, you may have a tad more cramps (I did). But my last one was 2 weeks before I started stims for my 1st IVF.
Good luck!!!
Sally
P.S. Since I'm originally from Georgia, where we try and make everything sound genteel, in the south we like to call it a "Dusting and a Cleaning" :)
it helps when scar tissue or other things are found. if there is scar tissue or polps etc, then the egg has nothing good to attach to, so you want to remove that stuff.
