Does Clomid Help You Get Pregnant Even if You Ovulate Already?

I've been trying to conceive for almost 2 years without any positive results. I ovulate and have regular menses and my husband has been checked out and he is okay.

Can Clomid help you conceive even if you ovulate already? I heard that it can help you produce more than 1 egg each month so it heightens your chance of becoming pregnant whether you normally ovulate or not. Is this true? Any insight would be helpful!

I took Clomid for 9 cycle.  Im still not pregnant.  Im still trying with diff meds. Your obgyn can prescribed you clomid.  Some ppl have success with clomid.  Clomid is the first med prescribed for infertility.  If they dont work, you then proceed with diff meds.  Good luck ladies.

I think it's prescription only, but maybe others know more about this. I hear it could be helpful to produce an egg if you don't always ovulate, but I'm wondering if it offers any benefits for those who ovulate regularly, too.

I've never heard of this before. But I goggled it and it sounds promising. Is this a prescription drug only? I've had kind of the opposite to you.. My periods are so irregular and I never know if I'm going to ovulate or not. I do wonder if this would help at all.
