Donor Embryos

New'ish here and am so happy for this group. My DH and I recently learned that us conceiving is an impossibility (unless a miracle occurs).  We are praying and hoping to use donor embryos.  So excited about this!  The only thing we both wish is that there were more opportunities for open donations. The only places are expensive sites that require home studies and everything or MW.  We've been on MW for about 8 months.  Praying that we find someone to have that openness with, as we think it is best for any child(ren).  Thanks!

I can imagine how hard it would be. But, like you said, those of us wanting to be parents would treasure and love that child(ren) so much.

We are in MD and will be married 7 years this year. Everyone still says we're very much that 'newlywed' couple, which I'm glad that our love is still strong, despite all of the things we're going through. He truly is the best husband ever. IVF is out for us b/c of azoospermia, and we don't feel comfortable with DS. We both are huge 'kids people.'

You?  :)

Yeah, that's true.  I think sometimes it's to hard to watch your DNA be raised by others, but, what a wonderful life you would be giving to both your embies and to a deserving parent want to be.  I always tell people to become active on a site like this, let it be known your open to the idea.  Make friends on sites, it can hurt...might send you your angel :).

So what state do you live?  What's your background story, if you didn't mind me asking...lol

That is so wonderful!  It is so beautiful to see the love that others share, and what greater love can you share than to donate 'family' to someone. That is what we're praying for. That we meet someone (either IRL or online) so that we can have that openness.

We've checked into most of the clinics, but all of them are anonymous, unless you're going through the ($$) agencies.

Welcome :). I have longed to find a way to hook people up that have embryos with people whom would like to donate, for a small but very doable fee or just by word of mouth.  See, my twins were from donor embryos from someone on medhelp.  She, for some reason, picked me from all the other deserving ladies on this site to approach.  I feel so blessed every day. :).   There are so many totcicles out there that deserve a chance at life, and so many willing people who who be grateful to have them.   I hate that these agencies are charging $$$. We have spent so much on fertility already, to have to spend $$$ to move forward.

My children will someday met their siblings, of that I am sure.  My donor and I have became lifelong friends and I believe soul sisters.

I know there are clinic's in Texas that have donor embryo programs, and a place in n Carolina as well.  Also, I don't know if you have checked out califonia conceptions, but that might be a place to look as well.

Let me know if I can help in any way.
