I have a close relative that just got diagnosed with premature menopause and she is only 28 years old. The way she found out is her and her husband wer ready to start their family. Now that has come to dramatic change. Any advice you could provide to assist her would be greatly appreciated. I could but I am unable to donate a egg because of my moral beliefs in the matter. What can I do to help?
Ok here they are, sorry for the delay

This one in particular has good reading. It is a dr answering the questions. Even though these ladies were preparing for IVF after yrs of failed ttc, many spontaneously conceived while on DHEA awaiting their IVF cycle.

Yeah, he will probably wait til next cd3 to run the labs. Cd 5 is a little late.
I recently started taking DHEA. My FSH is still good and dr says everything is tip top. I say b.s., lol. I'm 42 for crying out loud, don't blow sunshine, he he. Here are some links on DHEA. We'll see in a few days if it helped at all this cycle. They say it takes up to 4 cycles to get the max benefits from it. So, it may be too early for me to notice anything.
Crud, I'm at work and the links are on my home computer. I will post them when I get home :)
well I don't think they can reverse the very very slow damage that happens to your eggs but you can get on fertility medications to make you release more than one egg in an attempt to try to get at least one of a good quality. This is what I found about egg quality and age:
"...the point is that egg quantity and quality declines significantly as women age. This process usually begins in the early to mid 30s and accelerates beginning (usually) at about 37-38 years of age."
This is the link I found... with pictures. http://www.advancedfertility.com/eggquantityquality.htm
Nope, I haven't had that test done yet. My specialist first appt is next week, I will be Cycle Day 5 then. He does an abdominal ultrasound on the first visit. I don't know that he can tell much by that - on cd 5... ??? And I guess he wont be able to order the CD3 bloodwork till next month since it has to be on cd3 :-(
I just recently discovered my mom had menopause at 44... Wow that is way to early. And it has me concerned. Do you know if early menopause could be passed down in the family. And surely not causing egg quality problems already- at age 35!?? YIKES! But I am ovulating monthly, but maybe my eggs just aren't good enough...
Is there meds that can help improve the quality of your eggs?
Since we are born with all the eggs we are ever going to have, every year that goes by affects the quality of our eggs. Have you had a cd3 bloodwork panel done? If so what was your FSH & E2?
