That is great for you to offer. I certainly would be glad to donate to someone I knew if I was younger. I would accompany your sister to her fertility doctor and see what he says. if you are healthy and fertile, there is usually not any issues, except for the costs. He will probably recommend you get bloodwork done on day 3 of your cycle to check your FSH and other hormone levels and make sure it will be worth your sister's time and money to use your eggs. I dont think a psychological exam is required for this. Once youve had all the blood work done and so on, you'll be put on injections for probably 10 days or so, and the retrieval is done, etc. They'll tell you how many eggs were retrieved and the quality. I'd like to hear some updates! Good luck and SSBD to your sister.
What a wonderful thing you would be doing!! : )
They actually put you through screening... you would have to take a physological test, see a therapist once, get blood work, and then they put you on a series of medications (shots) to stimulate follicle growth. They will want to try and retreive as many eggs as possible and then they would put you under light sediation to retreive them.
Your sister is lucky : 0 )
That is really nice of u to do this for ur sister, I think doctor will give u clomid to produce more then one egg and they monitor u and in the end they probably put u in sleep, to harvest those eggs . Never done it my self , good luck to u and tour sister
