I would love to read the article you wrote. I am going through the procedure next month.
I wish I would have known about freezing eggs...geez I would have done that years ago. I didn't know I'd have so much trouble keeping a pregnancy when I wanted to get pregnant. I am 41 and will be 42 in June. It's awful, I can get pregnant, but I miscarry. I've had 5 in the past 18 months. It's frustrating because my eggs are old and that is why this is happening. Of course it's impractical to freeze your eggs. It's too expensive for the average person.
I considered using frozen eggs to get pregnant, but it's costly too...you have to buy many because many won't it through the thawing process. It's not a guarantee you'll get pregnant. It would have cost of about $12500 to use a donor's frozen eggs for five. Maybe one or two would make if you're lucky and if you're lucky one might implant and continue to become a baby. You have a better chance if you get a donor and get a fresh cycle. That's what we're doing and then freezing the rest.
I'll answer any questions. I know a lot about this. It's not the greatest way to go, but i think it works.
