Embryo Adoption

Hello,
I had two two-day embryos transferred in Barcelona on Saturday 26th July at 13h10 and of course I am super happy.  Because I was so happy, I went to a wedding the very same evening and quietly danced and had alcohol.  I wanted to know how high was the risk of losing my embryos?  I have been resting ever since.  Would there be any early signs of embryo loss?  Would the alcohol have destroyed them?

I had stomach cramps for two days (more like indegestion) and I generally feel quite well and happy.  Although I am a little scared of my possible negative test on Aug 10th because of my evening out, I am also looking forward to a positive result (I have been keeping my mind and spirit in a positive frame).

The embryos are from a couple aged 21 and 27 years old respectively and I am 43, I am taking Estradiol patches (changed every 4th day) and progesterone pessaries (every 8 hours).

Hope to hear from you soon
Regards Amantine

No you weren't being mean, just truthful.

Yes, I know the whole situation sounds pathetic, but being there at that moment was like it was my special day to celebrate.   I have had some friends and read so many articles and even on this forum of so many who have rested, and their results were negative - so cruel!  I don't go out or drink much and thinking of my friends who were so good and it failed for them three times over, I was unconsciously behaving differently for different results.  Just being happy in a happy environment - i think that's why I am not worrying myself even though flahes of 'stupid woman' thoughts pop up!   My doctors have said not to worry each case is different - they could stick while dancing or they wouldn't stick while resting.

Does anybody else have a different story to tell?  Did they do the shopping or cleaning or something instead of automatic bedrest and amazingly still fell pregnant!  Some women have been in car accidents or I saw a news report of a lady's parachute not opening - she and her unborn baby survived the free fall even after numerous operations!

We'll see... thank's for your well wishes and
Good luck!

Wow, was the first thing that came to mind... My RE had me on bedrest for 48 hours after the embryo transfer... Not to be mean, but if you wanted IVF so much, I am surprised that you went dancing and drinking the day of your transfer?

Good luck - who knows - they might stick, they might not...
