thank you guys so much....! this place is awesome...so much support and good info also to challenge a new doc with. thank you very much! :-)
I wanted to let you know that I also have PCOS and Endo :( I've had cysts removed - one cost me 1/2 of my right ovary... and 4 laps done for the endo.... I too make to much testosterone so my RE put me on Decadron 0.5 mg tabs but I am to take only 1/2 each night. It has since gotten all my hormones under control and my RE said everything looks good on paper :) I have been taking Clomid since last Sept. and had 1 BFP two cycles ago that ended in an early m/c :( I'm taking a month off due to hectic next few weeks but I plan on switching to Femara in a month... hopefully that will help
I'm also trying to deal with my weight - I never lost all of the baby weight from my pregnancy in 2006 (had my son in December 2006). I'm 5'6 and weigh around 160-165 depending on the day... Looking at me you would never know.... I cut out all caffeine and try to eat healthier but during AF time (Now!!) Chocolate is my best friend - do not get in the way of my chocolate!!!
I hope you find a new RE soon and get everything straightened out :) I'm glad you came over to our forum - So welcome :)
I just wanted to add that trying some fertility meds might not be such a bad thing. I'm not sure what would be appropriate in your situation, but there are a few drugs out there that are not very invasive and fairly inexpensive. Like Clomid or Femara...both pills taken for five days in the beginning of your cycle.
I hope you find a new RE soon! Best of luck to you!
so sorry to hear what you've been going through! I also have endometriosis and PCOS (my LH is too high as well) they are not putting me on metformin, instead i'm just doing diet modification to help with the insulin effect that can come with PCOS.. so i used to eat a diet of pretty much only carbs! i loved my sugar!!!! and now especially around ovulation i try to eat a very low carb diet, which is SUPER hard! but i'm trying anything I possibly can since we will be moving to IVF soon... I'd say cut down on carbs, increase veggies and cut back on caffine.. otherwise, sounds like your doing the right things finding a new RE to start with your next game plan! many times just the metformin can do the trick on its own! : ) GOOD LUCK keep us updated with everything!
