Fertility after stillbirth

My daughter was stillborn at 39+4 in November! Period returned in February and has been regular and normal! My question is, is your fertility effected by stillbirth? While my cycles appear normal I don't seem to have cervical mucus anymore! I also seem to have full ovulation pains well past my fertility window! I'm confused by all of this! Also we haven't been trying nor have we been preventing but so far nothing! Has anyone experienced this too?

I understand all of that but my question was regarding cervical mucus, not the possible causes of my stillbirth! I am confused by the absence of it during the fertility window and ovulation pains in te luteal phase! I wanted to know if anyone experienced the same! Thanks for reply though!

I am sorry to know about your stillbirth. After stillbirth a woman can start ovulating anytime within first 3 months. It is reasonable to advise patients to delay conception till they feel they have achieved psychological balance from the previous pregnancy loss .Most of the stillbirths the cause is not known but possible causes are infections, genetic problems in the baby, or problems with the placenta .In your next pregnancy you can take regular prenatal care and avoid smoking and drinking. Be in regular follow up of your gynecologist. I sincerely hope it helps.
Best wishes and take care!
