First IUI... a little nervous
I'm 28 and have been TTC for 2 years now and just started my first IUI process. At first it was just a morpology issue with my husband, then after I was tested for EVERYTHING, it turned out I didn't have enough eggs someone my age should have. We skipped the colmid and went straight to injectables. I had my second blood test/ultrasound today and had 2 mature follicles and my lining is at 10mm. I'm SUPER nervous, it seems like everyone around me is getting pregnant and I just want a baby... Advice or words of wisdom?
Thanks I m starting round 5. I am praying that this round works if it is Gods will. I would love to get pregnant and carry it to term. I am good with twins. I am currently on cd 5 I am now on follistim instead of Gonal F I am not sure if it will make a difference.
Just wanted to put in y two cents. :) don't get discouraged ladies. Iui's really do work. We've had it work 3 out of 4 tries. I lost my first at 7 weeks ( miscarried) and lost a twin at 9 weeks.. But I now have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. They work. Persistance, positivity and prayer!!! Good luck!!!:) ( we plan on trying for another in a ear or so. I was diagnosed with pcos and t husband has azoospermia. Used done sperm and iui. First 3 iui's with clomid and one with femera)

Ok almost ready for round to IUI. Just had my Ultrasound to check on my follies! I have 3...well 2 mature one 25 and 29 on the Right and 1 on the left that is 11. So little hope for the left side, but the 2 on the right yey!!! they are going to have me do the ovidrel shot tonight, and IUI friday @ 9am. I am excited.
I dont know. I have had one bad one on the drugs and one not bad. usally my are painful!!!!!
MrsB - I know what you mean about being nervous to have more than one. However, I have a couple friends who had twins and they made it look like a breeze.
rmmoye - thanks for the advice on the gonal f. I'll keep that in mind for if I do need it in the future. I know that for this IUI cycle I won't but I think they might use that for IVF. I noticed this af isn't as bad for me either. I wonder if it is the fertility drugs. I think mine is almost over and it is only day 3.

Thanks MRsB and Renny. I started yesterday. i am having no cramps and sweeling so i am excited about that. it will be the first cycle like this. most are so bad i live with a heating bad.
Renny if u go to gonal f ahve your re over estimate how much it will take because your insurance will cover it. that way if they only cover 3 cycles and it takes all 3 u can order the new each time but use the old and save the new. then u will at least have meds covered for another cycle. and if it works then no big lose to u.

rmmoye: Don't get discouraged, you could absolutely get a late implantation! My fingers are crossed for you, I know how badly you disserve this
renny320: Thanks a lot, but I'm so scared for more then one. I know it's a risk when you go throught this, but I guess I wasn't thinking about it. I would love twins, but I'm so nervous.

My dosage this time was 100 of clomid. The first IUI I only did 50 of clomid. I never did gonal F. I hope it works this time but as I said I am not as hopeful. That stinks that your insurance doesn't cover fertility treatments. It seems like most don't cover it so I know I am very lucky to have insurance that does. I am worried that my insurance will drop it as well, but hopefully I will be pregnant before that happens.

Sorry about af. I am also sorry that you are done, although I totally understand. Hopefully it will happen for you naturally. Sometimes all you need is to let go of the stress of trying so hard, and then surprise, it happens. I've seen that with a few women here on MH.
I got my af yesterday and this is probably the most disappointed I have been. Everything was going so good with this cycle, I had 5 folicles. The 1st IUI which I got pregnant but then m/c'd I had only one folicle so I was feeling very confident. Now I start another IUI cycle but I have little faith it will work. If this 3rd cycle fails, my insurance should allow me to move on to IVF which brings some new hope. From here on out I am paying zero attention to symptoms because I had so many promising symptoms this cycle that had my hopes up. I guess it was the fertility meds that did it.
amy8702 - When I had my m/c in June I had 2 days of spotting a week later and than my first af came exactly 5 weeks after my m/c. I am sure you will get yours soon. Good luck with your doctor's appointment.

I took a hpt. I have had some brown spotting this afternoon. no pain or cramps. I am hoping for late implant but not getting my hopes up. I decided not to go in for beta because it is 2 hrs round trip drive.
Rmmoye - I am so sorry you didn't get your BFP did you take a HPT or is that by your beta?
All: BFN. Looks like dh was right. Oh well. WE are done. We cant afford any more treatments. If i get prego form now on it will be because God let it happen naturally. I did not cry. What is the point. I am tired of crying. It wasnt ment to be!!!! AT this point i give up on the thought i will ever have children. God gave me the two boys and i guess that is where monther hood ends for me. I am a blessed woman to have the two boys. What more could i ask for.

Thank you for the advice aswell. I feel when and if I get my BFP again I'm going to be in a 12 week wait. I'm so scared.

why, what test he is running, how invasive they wil be, how longbefore u wil know something, how closly he will montor u wen get prego again, ask bout the progestrng pill for your vag. this is good start.
This was my first time as well, I was trying for 2 years, if you have any questions please let me know. Without this site and all the wonderful ladies here I dont know what I would have done, it really helps!
The maternity pillow is helping as best it can right now, I only woke up 2 times last night for a few minutes each. Best sleep i've had in days!

All: I tested yesterday and got a bfn but i still think that i am fine. dh said oh well that is what i thought it would be. He says i should start soon. I was so moody lastnight. i cried over every little thing. I will test again tomorrow.

MrsB, this is my first appt since all my miscarriages to start the testing to find out why. I briefly spoke with a Dr a couple weeks ago (not an obgyn or fertility specialist) and he believes its a strain of bad luck. But that's just an opinion. I'm so scared to get this started. Also, its been a month today when I had my last m/c my HCG that day was 9 and I've still had no period. Just 2 days of spotting. Also, Congratluations!!!!
Rmmoye - spotting can be normal! Don't count yourself out until you have your test! Fingers crossed for you
