Sammy All the Best, Pls let us know how it goes lots of baby dust for you... Yesterday they transfered only one embryo and dr told us other couple of eggs are still developing ...and I took rest yesterday but today morning I saw some spotting and I feel cramping as if I am going to get my periods. I am so scared let us see...I dont know whether it is implantation I keep seeing blood whenever I wipe ...I will try to think positive...
Well done! 3 fertilised is good. Yes I think putting in 2 is a wise choice.
I go for my IUI tomorrow.
See you in the 2ww
:)
I had the egg retrieval last saturday and they retrieved 4 eggs and in that only 3 were fertilized... today is my Day3 transfer ...what do you guys suggest on how many fertilized can I keep...I am very scared about multiple pregnancy ...I am thinking of two ...let me know what you guys think...
I think you made the right decision & I believe good things will come from it. Please post had it goes after..... Can't wait to hear
BABY DUST FOR YOU!!!!!!!!
just a quick update ...I just heard from my nurse that they are going to convert my IUI to IVF cant believe our insurance covers this and I have to take my trigger shot tonight and egg retrieval on Saturday. yeah I thought too much and with many follicles, IUI is not an option for me and at the same time I cant let this cycle go... I dont know whether I did the correct decision but I just hope whatever we do its just for small bundle of joy...is anybody out there who are going to do a IVF next week?
Yeah, I heard so many people say that to me. "Are you going to be like Jon and Kate??"
Its like NO! Leave me alone! People never seem to have an issue voicing their opinions about fertility treatments. Lot's of people do IVF and get help getting pregnant and not everyone ends up with twin or triplets.
I can't wait to hear what you do! I had 9 mature follicles and we only got 7 eggs. I was bummed, but was happy with that number because, like I said before, I didn't want to have to make a decision about the extra. 3 were fertilized with ICSI and one was discarded. The other 3 didn't mature. So, he put one perfect 5 day blast and one "average".
Remember it only takes one to get a BFP!
I know what you mean...reduction is a very personal and private issue...I was really worried about having several and then having to freeze some and have some left over and then decide what to do with them...blah blah....its a personal decision and there is no right or wrong answer. I was scared to put more than two in and my RE suggested two and said three was a little careless since our issue seemed to just be conception...I know I can carry a baby to term. (however, I know that doesn't mean I'm in the free and clear now...still praying all the time.)
I have to seriously look for some TV sponsors to take Rey S +6 just kidding ...yeah IVF is expensive and depends upon my est level tomorrow, our insurance will tell whether its been covered or not .. Willupdate you guys tomorrow thank you for the advice...
well the doctor said she will keep only one matured egg back to reduce the risk of multiples through the IVF...I am really not into reductions. Baby(ies) needs to be healthy with proper nutrition inside...ofcourse It all depends on the insurance tomorrow...Thank you very much for the advice.
I disagree with Lawrence. IUI has a high risk of multiples...IVF you can only have as many as they put in. For example, I had two embyo's put in last week. Unless one or both of them split, I can have either two, one or none. However, with IUI, all your eggs could release and all fertilize. THAT is how Kate Gosseling had 6.
I have never heard of an IUI converting to IVF. It's expensive, but if you can swing it, go for it. Most insurances don't cover it. If they do, thats great! If not, its around $10,000.
I hope this helps!
Good Luck with your decision but keep in mind this is EXACTLY how Kate Gosseling got Pregnat. She was told she over stimuated...didn't listen to docs & got 6.
Just be prepared for whatever comes your way.
IUI has a slim chance of multiples. IVF has a high rate. Depending on your husbands sperm, I would go IUI. If your husbands sperm is really good, then i think you have a good chance doing IUI. Plus an IUI is way cheaper. My husbands sperm is not so great but we never had it washed so we didn't know how many were good swimmers. We only had 3million. The choice is yours. I hope i helped. I am still new at this myself. Good Luck!
Go for an IUI or IVF which one do you recommend? I really dont want to skip this cycle...Seriously thank you very much ... but please let me know...
PS- I also had 4 mature follicles and they told me not to get my hopes up.....
if you are anything like me, I have to say go for it! I would do anything to have 1 or 4. Chances are, not all of the eggs are going to make it anyway.
I just heard from the Doctor Saying that she is bit nervous because I might be end up with multiples. She was telling me to either leave this cycle or convert it to an IVF. I have 4 matured follicles and she thinks with the trigger there will be a possibility of quadruples and I dont know what I can tell her. She was also telling me about the reduction. If I get conceived with all the four they can also do this I am so confused what do you guys suggest? I dont know whether our insurance will cover the IVF from IUI and can you guys please guide me ...I dont know what to do ...the fact is I dont know whether the matured ones will end up in a baby...I really dont want to miss this cycle after all the effect ....
My doc follows the same protocol: size 18 and IUI 36 hrs after trigger shot.
I'll be going for mine in a week or so. Best of luck and tons of baby dust to you!
Sam.
MY RE WANTS THEM TO BE AT LEAST 18 AND SHE DOES IUI OR TIC 36 HRS AFTER TRIGGER SHOT.
GOOD LUCK!
an ideal size is 18 so you look really good. i have one measure 23. the others were around 15-17.
