Anyone care to share their success stories about using Follistim over 40 yrs old? First cycle success, what to expect, tricks of the trade, moving to the IVF track, etc. Thanks! :)

Hello. I used follistim with both IVF's. It wasen't too bad. The first time did not work (but that was due to other issues). I produced 10 eggs and 10 fertilized that time. This last time I also used 225 uis of follistim and produced 11 eggs and 5 went on to blast! I am now 6 weeks pregnant (also I just turned 40) if that helps. I was thinking of donor eggs but REALLLY glad I didn't since mine were just fine:) Good luck!

I'm doing IUI for the first time.  I was pregnant 8 years ago. So far my most predominant side effect from Follisim is fatigue, followed by increased appetite, heightened affect. (I am only interested in hearing success stories!  Thanks for understanding, and sorry to hear about others not getting what they want.)

I started using Follistim when I was 39. Im 41 now. I had four failed IVF and now I am so sick and tired of using my own eggs that I may do egg donor. The % of success goes from 3% to 50% so Im in:)

Good luck
