oh that's a bad news..lots of hugs to you..I understand how you feel about it..but my friend, be strong as you are and don't loose hope..I am sure you will be successful in next cycle..take care of yourself!!!
well bad news for me, not pregnant on the first IVF try :( This week has been very emotional and I'm trying to be strong and move forward. The doctor said my eggs didn't react to the medications like a normal 28 year old. So she needs to change one of the injections for next time. We'll start again next cycle, which will be first week of March.
Good luck everyone.
I was supposed to start my IVF medication from tonight and got to know my Progestrone level is high and need to take BC pills for that..so, probably will start my medication from next cycle..
Has anybody ever face this before ?
Please suggest me what to do in this situation?
I am so stressed out..
Thanks
Hello everyone!!
I am also doing my 1st IVF cycle this month. I started my Lupron injections on the 26th of Jan and find it all pretty easy at this point. I am waiting to get my period this week to start Gonal-F. We are super excited....good luck to everyone!!
Best of luck my friend!!!
Be positive and please do share the news with us..
Soooo nervous and anxious today! I went for my pregnancy test this morning and have to wait for the doctor's call this afternoon. I don't even know what to do with myself. I'm at work but I can't concentrate on anything. Just hoping and praying we get good news today :)
It depends on what protocol your doctor is using. I started on day 2 last time, will start on day 3 this time. You're probably safe calling your doc to find out. All the best! Got 2 weeks before I can start so you're way ahead of me now.
hey everyone,
How is it going? I am just wondering from which day I need to start my IVF medication.?
I have received my meds..but I am not in town and medications are not with me..my nurse told to call her on my day 1..and I am expecting my periods around this week..
please suggest!!!
thanks
@asebaby good luck my dear..take care of yourself..:)
Hi everyone. So I was on bedrest until yesterday, but I'm being so paranoid I decided to work from home today. First blood test is tomorrow, I'm getting more anxious as the days go by.
Transfer is tomorrow morning, I'm so anxious! I hope and pray it all goes well and that I can hold my full bladder in for all that time!
hey asebaby, I am glad for you my friend..my wishes are with you..be positive and keep faith in God..everything will be great..
good luck and take care :)
Retrieval went well, was a little surpised. I had 8 follicles, but 4 eggs. Doctor called today with the update and so far we have 2 beautiful embryos! Waiting to see how the other two go. Transfer is set for Saturday. I'm being positive and praying a lot. Any well wishes and Baby dust that can be sent my way is truly appreciated :)

I'm on my first round of IVF now. Im finding the injections easy to administer, and Im also feeling happy and relaxed about it. Ive been trying for 3 years, 2 miscarriages, and 3 failed IUIs . hang in there - be strong you will be fine :) x
hi SS203;
my DH's sperm extraction is scheduled in FEB 2011 for our ICSI IVF; immeidately after that; my hormone injections; i am equally scared like you about the self injections; follicles growth; mood swings; embryo transfer and etc; well; i think we have to be strong and support ourselves first; there is a hope of ray after crossing the narrow dark way; lets be strong; eat well; take good rest to avoid stress; lets keep ourselves away from thinking too much about IVF.
good luck.
you would conceive sooner than me i guess. :)
bye

Hi everyone,
I'm having my retrieval done on Monday the 17th. I've been so strong this whole time, then today at the doctor's office going over everything I became very overwhelmed and a bit terrified. This is my first IVF cycle. I know this is all worth it in the end, I'm just worried about the possible disappointment if it doesn't work.
Thankyou so much to all of you for sharing your experience.I am feeling much better now :)
did you guys follow any diet before and throughout the procedure?I am having regular diet including fruits, juices, veggies etc. Is there anything to avoid in that period?
please suggest!!!
I will keep posted here..and please be there for support!!!!
@Pumbaa23, yes sure we can be cycle buddies..:) all the best to you too..
take care
Hi,
I'm having my second IVF beginning of February. First one didn't work. If you want, we can be cycle buddies if you like. All the best!
Hello,
After a few IVF attempts, last one being last month, I was just about ready to give up. The program itself really is a lot easier than you would imagine. A bit of discomfort and then the wait. Disappointment if it fails is the worse thing.
I really just wanted to say that I held a baby today, four months old. She is one of twins, conceived through IVF and the most beautiful thing I have seen for a very long time. I didn't even cry and she gave me such hope and just talking to the parents about their own struggles to conceive put it all back into perspective.
It is so worthwhile. I look forward to going through the journey with you if you are still posting in Feb.
I did IVF almost two years ago now, and it really wasn't that bad. I had no side effects from the follicle stimulating meds, although the progesterone supplements after ER made me very bloated. I looked like I was in my second trimester already! As for the retrieval, it's under full anesthesia, so you won't really remember anything until you wake back up. Your abdominal area will feel pretty sore after, though. Like it kinda hurst to laugh...and I was walking like an old lady (leaning forward) for a couple of days. But it will pass...and by the time I had my transfer (5-day transfer), I felt almost back to normal (except from the bloating mentioned above). Best of luck with everything!!!
