HELP!!!

I need some answers before I start going crazy! I have tried to do IUI and started on clomiphene 50mg and they cancelled saying not enough follicles. I tried again the second month w 100mg and cancelled again! Doc said no mature egg. Also they found a cyst on my left ovary second time around measuring 3.4mm. Can you offer me advice and/or info??? Please!

HI cindy, I can relate to how you feel - well i'm sure most of us on this board can. the waiting and the time is the worst. You think once you start the fertility treatments - you will be pregnant in a couple of months. I did clomid for my first IUI and my follicles responded well to it (uterus lining did not) but the IUI failed and the clomid left me with a cyst so i had to wait out the next cycle. Dr recommended injectables next for me due to how lining did not thicken on clomid and the cyst. I did follistim and did not respond well to that at all. not everyone is compatible with all the FSH drugs out there. He added menapur mid cycle and I wound up with 2 follies but that IUI failed and again i wound up with cysts and waiting out the next month. the point is - it's all a process. YOu see what works for you and sometimes it takes multiple tries but at least you're finding out what doesn't work- right? I know how frustrating it is though. hang in there! work with your dr and I'm sure you'll be pregnant soon. good luck!

Thank you for your response. Im waiting to start cycle 3 for IUI and dr wants to try letrozole this time before moving onto injections. He states that my body is not reacting to the clomid at all. I assume my cyst is ok they have not done any more sonograms. Im so concerned and really dont know what to do. Im 4 days late for the start of my cycle and I WISH FOR A MIRACLE RIGHT NOW!!!!

First off just try and relax, I know its hard to do but alot of women who take clomid find an increase in cysts.Generally most RE's will not move forward with a IUI procedure till the cyst is a minual size or completely gone. I have had 2 IUI's cancel due to same reason. I would address your concerns and maybe changing the protocol on days you take clomid. Also Birth control maybe taken for a month to shrink the cyst. That or ask if you can move on to injectables. I know alot of doctors will cancel IUI if too many follies but never heard of canceling if you have at least 1 mature...I am waiting to have AF and going in for a US to make sure my cyst is gone so we can attempt our next IUI. Best of Luck and Keep me posted. SSBD! XOXO Cindy
