Hydrosalpinx Diagnosis/Missing tubal clip

I recently underwent a Diagnostic Laproscopy, to try and figure out what has been causing my chronic pelvic pain.
I had multiple miscarriages as well as 2 healthy baby girls, so instead of going through more miscarriages I decided to get my tubes tied. I was 26.  I had pelvic pain, irregular periods, back aches, nausea, fever and had been to 4 different doctors during the past 10 years.  Finally, one of them did the Laproscopy on March 5, 2010. and found Hydrosalpinx.  He also found that one of my tubal clips is missing. I was told to go see my GP in 4-5 days to have the stitches removed and to go over the post op' report.  I did that, however my GP did not have the post op' report yet.  He told me that they would phone when they got it. I still have not heard back from him.
I read my discharge papers, and that is how I found out about the missing clip and the hydrosalpinx.  I have done research on my own about this, but I am still extremely confused about how this happened, and where the other clip went.  I have read some horror stories from some of you on here, and am hoping to get some advice on how to approach my GP.  I am conserned that this missing clip could be the cause of some of my pain, but it seems to not worry most doctors out there. Most of the posts I have read have said doctors just say this happens all the time.  I wonder if they would like a foreign peace of plastic floating around in thier body, looking for a place to embed itself.  I do not know if the hydrosalpinx is the same tube that is missing the clip, but it seems quite a coincidence if  you ask me.  And how long has it been missing? Obviously there is now a fertility issue if I haven't gotten pregnant in the past 10 years with no clip on one of my tubes.  As you can tell from my rambling, I am very confused, and quite upset that it has taken this long to diagnose, and have to wait another week to see my GP, who has not phoned me to tell me about the diagnosis!  Advice? Comments? Similar experiences?
