Hysteroscopy with stent (catheter in cervix )for 2 weeks

Hi. I recently had a hysteroscopy to open up my cervix which had been scarred shut. A little over a year ago, i had a d&c, due to miscarriage and my period never returned. Although i had pain each month, i had no spotting or periods. So the hysteroscopy/d&c was done and a catheter has been placed in my cervix to keep it from closing shut again. I have a leg bag attached to the catheter and this has been very annoying for the past week and a half. going ot get it taken out on Tuesday and I cant wait. I went in to see dr last week because i was concerned about an odor. She said not to worry and she expects an odor while wearing a catheter. I was not happy about that news, although it was good news of no infection.

so i was not prescribed antibiotics. I was concerned about the odor and went to see Dr. before stent was to be taken out and she checked me and said it was fine and she still did not prescribe it. I guess she has reasons. Perhaps the antibiotics can interfere with something else? I had it taken out now, so i feel much better and there is no more odor or anything. She did say that i had no scarring in my uterus at all. only in my lower cervix.

Are you on antibiotics?  I wore the stent 2 times (2 hysteroscopies) and have never had an oder.  Are you on the Asherman's site?  There are tons of women on there giving wonderful advice!!!!  Check it out....Ashermans.org.  Kris71 just had surgery to open her cervix also, you may want to touch base with her.  She has a ton of experience with what you are going through.  OH, and btw... the stent Sukks!!!  : )
Good Luck, and I am praying your scarring does not return!!!!
