BFN means your not pregnant! I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, I'm going for my 3rd US on Tuesday, my RE and OB think it's non viable, my hcg is going up but not doubling properly. I just need to know either way so I can get on with my life, we still have 1 frozen blast left., we did a mini ivf this time and had 11 embryos and 3 made it to blastocyst stage.
Hugs and SSBD,
Melanie
and unbeatable:
I'm older than anybody here (51); I got pregnant naturally and miscarried 2x @ age 46, also @ age 48; but it's been 3 yrs; just consulted w/a worldwide expert ivf guy today; yet, when I actually read the protocol it just seemed like so many drugs!
Does every1 have to go on birth contol before ivf? Seems counterproductive. Also, somehow I get the idea that IUI works better for older women.
Plumber 43, sounds like you are very fertile -- that's great! I don't know what all the abbrev. means ("bfn" etc.); the eggs that are frozen: have those been analyzed w/preimplantation genetic screening?
Thanks!

Hi,
I too am 44, at 43 had ivf, made 18 follies, 11 fertilized, transferred 3, bfn. We froze 7 had fet, only 1 survived, bfn. September (44) had a tubal reversal. Dec iui #1 had 4 follies...bfn, iui#2..7 follies, bfn. Iui#3 Feb. 8 follies...bfn, now I had hsg, tubes open, 4dpo and praying for my BFP, I will be 45 in June. I make many eggs, I just need to find the good one!
If you feel like you can go through this over and over until you get your BFP then go for it!
If you think you can afford it and are ok with it then go donor egg. I'm giving myself until June, then we are going the donor embryo route.
Good luck on this journey!
Hugs,
Melanie
I don't know. Best bet is to ask your RE.
Good luck.
