I was sent to a rheumatologist, but I don't have arthritis. My RE was very interested in the autoimmune thing. But he said nothing can be done about it, but then I've read that there is a treatment called IV Immunoglobolin?!?
I've had one IVF failure. Transferred one 'perfect' 8-cell embryo, but how knows why it didn't succeed?? Doctors always tell us it's down to the egg quality, but this is an easy out for them.
I really hope the IVF works for you. I'm on BCP and should (hopefully) be at the ET stage in around six weeks.
Sending baby dust your way!
I hv two autoimmune conditions, hypothyroidism and rheumatoid arthritis. I told my RE if I need to be tested for antibody issue before going for IVF. He said, that doesnt make any difference and is not needed. Have u tried IVF?
My condition is basically I wann get pregnant soon as I hv to go back on my arthritis medicine soon after delivery. So he decided to go for IVF soon.
I'm not sure, but I had an ANA test and mine came back at 320 - apparently this is elevated. I have a 4yr old son, and 20mth old daughter, but having trouble conceiving much wanted baby #3. My RE says my follicles are working more like those of a 40 or 41yr old instead of for my 37yrs. He thought maybe it could be down to elevated ageing of the ovaries due to high antibodies. I really have no idea. I read somewhere it can be treated, but is hugely expensive, but my RE told me nothing can be done about it, if this is in fact causing my problems. My thyroid is fine, and I don't have PCOS.
