My RE only froze top quality that make it to day 6.
I had 6 remaining embryos following a 3day transfer, none made it to freezing. My RE has a strict grading policy and mine didn't cut it. They hold them 6 days out past retrieval. I had 3 almost make it, I wish they had frozen on day 5. Since this IVF cycle didn't work (miscarriage) and I had none make it to freezing, we have to do the whole process over again.
mine were frozen on day 1, at the 2ProNuclear stage
My clinic only freezes top quality embryos that make it to day 6 past retrieval. I ended up with 4, but I hear 1-2 is more common if any.
It totally depends on the RE. My old RE did pronuclear freezing (I do not advise this) with the embryos I had.... most do not do that. There is an embryologist on here you can ask also. You can find her along the right hand column and it says recent doctor visits. LvnEmbryos.
In our ivf clinic they freeze blasts only but I did hear of clinics freezing on day 3 and even day 1.
Good luck!
my clinic only freezes blasts of excellent quality, but i think that it depends on the lab....
