IVF Post Transfer Questions

On July 12, I had a frozen transfer of two blast(day 6) embryos.  They were both high grade embryos.  The doctors/nurse said everything looked perfect and went perfect.  On Monday, I took a home test and it was negative.  On Tuesday, I took a test and it was negative.  Also on Tuesday, when I went to the restroom and wiped there was a light pink spotting.  I put on a pad and it had one light pink spot on it in the morning.  I called the Doctor's office concerned about the spotting being my period and not needing to take the pregnancy test on Thursday.  They told me weird things happen sometimes and to continue my meds and take the test on Thursday.  I did not spot any more yesterday or today.  Could it have been implantation spotting?  Could I be pregnant even with the negative home tests?

I was reading today that at 9 days after your transfer, your HCG levels should be high enough (if pregnant) to register on a home pregnancy test.  So I think you tested a little too early.  And don't worry too much about the spotting, because yes it can be implantation spotting!

I went in on the 8th for my transfer and have not tested yet.  I go in tomorrow for my blood test. This wait is nerve wracking to say the least!!

You could be pregnant even with negative home tests.  They will do a blood test tomorrow, which they do at that date because it is the date that their experience and IVF research shows it will be reliable.  If a urine-based test would have been reliable last Monday or Tuesday, your doctor would have done a urine-based test last Monday or Tuesday.  Try not to fret.  It all could be just fine.  Best wishes for you!
