IVF Pregnancies - Due in Spring 2012!

Hi There

I would love to connect with those having babies this spring.  I underwent a 3-day donor egg IVF transfer in August 2011 and am expecting twins in April 2012.

Hi Mintavarez!

I remember you from the transfer group!!!  How are you feeling?  Having come off the drugs last week I thought I might feel less symptoms, but I feel no difference - still have my food aversions and I think my chest has become even larger since last week - strange!

I had some bleeding last week.  Babies are OK, I have a hematoma which is hopefully shrinking as I type...

Great to reconnect with you Mintavarez!!!

Hi All

Are you getting the flu shot this year?  There seems to be some debate on pregnant women getting this.  My fertility doc and GP told me to get it.

Hello,
I have no symptoms with my pregnancy, except that the first month I gain 15 pound but now im doing good.. I stop my meds at 8 weeks thanks god..
Last night I felt one of the baby move inside of me lol it was so funny because my hubby didn't believe me then he came and put his hands with a lil of pressure on my left side and he also felt it..

Doctor will discharged me to a regular OB Gyn next week.. (sad I don't want to leave her) they were so good to us..

That is amazing that you've had no symptoms Mintavarez!!!  And very amazing that you and your husband felt the baby move - WOW!!!

Did the 15 lbs stay with you or was that bloating from the meds?

I was supposed to be discharged from the clinic last week but since I've developed this hematoma they are following me with that,  I will be sad to leave the clinic as well.  Everyone there is so kind and having an u/s every week has been great!  Graduating is a good thing though - on to the next adventure, right?!

The weight stay with me...
It feels good to be going to the next trimester..

I just can't wait to find out the sex of the babies.. 3 or 4 more weeks I will find out... So anxious

Also doctor recommend me to drink 1,000mg in the am and 1,000mg in the pm of vitamin C.. Suppose to it give strength to the sacs and is also good for us to not get sick with the flu...

Hope you feel better and just try to take it easy for now..
House duty light
Don't lift anything more than 7 pounds and stress free

I just got back to work last week and house duty hubby is doing it for me (bathrooms, vacuum, laundry and mop the floors)

What a nice hubby, Mintavarez!!!

I would like to find out the sexes as well.  I have girls names ready to go, but no boys names yet.

Vitamin C sounds like a good idea.

I am 13 weeks today - so that means trimester 2 I think.  Hurray!

Big controversy with flu shot, I have never had one and I haven't had the flu in 20 years. Now I do have a bad cold passed on by my hubby.
My problem is I have Hashimoto's disease which is an autoimmune disease and a flu shot is not favorable.
My endo advised me to get it in 2nd trimester and get the one without the preservative.

Mintaverez.....isn't great that now hubbies get to pamper us??!!!!! The work will be coming later with our little bundles
Hugs to all you ladies

Redhead!!! My hubby got me sick, too! That's always the case. He gets sick first, gives it to me, and then I get it worse than him. I actually came to our thread to ask what doctor's prescribe.

Anyway, it started with a terrible sore throat and in a day it progressed to scratchy with a headache, stuffy nose and overall dead-head. I took a half dose of Tylenol twice yesterday, and  have been sipping hot water, lemon and honey. I've also been drinking 2 liters of water. Did your doctor prescribe anything?  I wanted to know if Saline nasal spray is okay.

I hope you feel better soon Readhead and Lala.  I was wondering about the nasal spray myself.  I've been stuffed up for about two weeks now and it's uncomfortable to sleep.

Last night I also had acid reflux.  I received my What to Expect and Baby Centre emails for week 13 yesterday.  They mentioned acid reflux, here I am, right on schedule!!!  It was very painful in the past and I went on meds but don't think I can this time.  The emails mentioned papaya so I'm going to try that.

I am beginning to have  acid reflux, too!!! Just the tightness part of it, but I suspect by next week it'll be kicking in. I seem to be on schedule for everything, too. Every time I look something up it seems to be the week I am in.

Hey Lala282/storkgirl

My husband gave me a cold and it is a lot worse than his. His lasted 3 days, mine is 6 days and hasn't ended yet.
I have scratchy throat, runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. The doc said to take Chlor-Trimetron allergy which is safe in early pregnancy, and of course tylenol. I needed something to dry me up. I am taking the tablets when it is absolutely necessary, I usually never take anything, I use only natural herbs and remedies but one must be careful using herbs during pregnancy because some can cause contractions and lead to miscarriage. I followed what my doc suggested and it is taking a while to go away probably because I am really taking very few pills. Also I am taking extra vitamin C which is safe.
As far as the saline spray, it is totally safe there is no medication in it. I have been using before the cold because, my nasal passages get dry at night.
Hope everyone feels better!!!
Hugs.
