IVF meds

I have started on my IVF meds. Only one more day on femara, and started the follistim at 225iu last night. It burns after injecting. I have had 5 pound weight gain since starting Femara. I think it is fluid retention. My stomach is bloated also. I am also on doxycycline and dexamethosone. Is the fluid retention normal, esp the abdominal bloating? I also had nausea and vomiting this morning, but not sure if that is related to starting the follistim or due to not eating before taking the steroid and antibiotic. Anyone care to share the effects the meds had on them?  Guess I am just looking for reassurance that this is normal.

I took took that antibiotic and if I did not eat before or right after I took it I felt nauseaous. About the bloating I'd call dr and ask them.

I felt bloated during my IVF, but not nauseous. Did you check if these are listed as side effects on any of the meds? Either way, if you're worried about it, just call your RE's office. They'll let you know what's normal and what's not.

By the way, if you continue to get more bloated as you take more of the follistim, make sure your doctor check you for hyperstimulation.  He or she might cut down on your dose to avoid this.

Best of luck with everything!
